Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport system that focuses on grappling with particular emphasis on ground fighting. BJJ advocates the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent by using technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent. Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are taught in the traditional Japanese uniform known as the gi.

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are taught by Braulio Estima Brown Belt, Kyle Chapman.

Submisison Grappling

Similar to BJJ, our submission grappling classes advocate the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent by using technique, leverage, and the application of joint locks and chokeholds. Being practiced without the traditional “gi” or “kimono”, submission grappling provides a faster paced more dynamic approach. Our submission grappling classes and training also place heavy focus on achieving a successful submission above all else (contrary to more traditional points scoring). Techniques and concepts also merge a variety of techniques from other grappling disciplines such as catch wrestling and judo.

Our submission grappling classes are taught by no-gi worlds and multiple time ADCC trials medalist, Harry Grech and Braulio Estima brown belt Kyle Chapman.

Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a stand-up combat sport based on kicking and punching. Kickboxing is a fantastic martial art for fitness, sport or self-defence.

Our kickboxing classes are taught by Harry Grech. Harry is an undefeated professional MMA fighter and student of legendary Australian kickboxer, Peter Graham and Irish national boxing standout, Chris McClung.

Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed Martial Arts combines all forms of martial arts to form the most effective fighting system. MMA involves aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, Muay Thai and a number of other disciplines.

Karate

At KPS we aim to teach a carefully tested and progressively refined balance of traditional yet innovative karate. Upholding integrity, heritage and discipline of tradition while relentlessly pursuing combat, practicality and functionality both in techniques and the body’s capability.Our Karate classes are taught by Japanese black belt, Harrison Saito.

Stretch

Stretch cultivates health and wellbeing (physical, emotional, mental and social) through the regular practice of a range of many different techniques, including postures and movement, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation.

Our yoga classes are taught by Anara.
