Do I need a certain level of experience or fitness to take classes?

All our programs and classes at KPS are designed to accomodate all skill, fitness and experience levels. This means if you’re a serious about training, you will find instructors and training partners who will push you to exceed your limits. If you’re just starting your fitness or martial arts journey, you can be sure that our instructors and members will foster a positive and comfortable training environment while also pushing you to become the best version of yourself.

What do I need to bring?

If you’re just starting at KPS - we are happy to supply whatever you need for your trial class. However, in subsequent classes you will be expected to purchase or supply your own gear for hygiene reasons. All required gear can be purchased from the official KPS Shop.

What do I need to wear?

We recommend cool, light and non-restrictive clothing - something you're ready to sweat in. If you’re doing submission grappling glasses, we also recommend clothing that is well-fitted and not too loose or baggy.

Can I participate if I don’t have gloves?

If you wish to trial our Kickboxing or MMA classes we can provide you with complimentary gloves for your trial class. You will be expected to purchase or supply your own gear for subsequent classes. All required gear can be purchased from the official KPS Shop.

Does KPS take drop ins/casual classes?

KPS offers a 7 DAY FREE trial. All are welcome to checkout as many classes as they wish in this period with no obligation to signup. You can also tryout our icebath and sauna as often as you want in this period too. We do not however offer a casual drop in rate.

Can I wear logos from another school?

Although we most certainly think our official KPS gear looks the slickest, we take no issue towards gear with alternative branding if it is all you have to train in.

Does KPS have showers?

KPS has a single shower open to use for all members in the back of our facility. Please ensure you bring your own towel or purchase one from the KPS shop if you wish to use the shower.

Does KPS offer private lessons?

All our instructors offer private, 1 to 1 lessons to help sharpen your skills to the highest degree. This means if you are trying to fit training into a busy schedule you can still make outstanding progress.

Does membership have any lock-in contracts?

KPS offers all our membership with no-lock in contracts. This means if for any reason you can’t train or find KPS isn’t the right fit, simply tell us and we’ll pause or cancel your membership.

What is the difference between Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling?

All KPS Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are conducted in the gi. Submission Grappling is conducted without the gi and places a heavier focus on stand up.

Kick Punch Submit is located in the convenient inner-city suburb of Waterloo (just 3km from the CBD). You can find us at 33 Botany Road, Waterloo.
